Scotland, Troon
With just one month left to go until the start of the Open championship 2016, now is the perfect time to start planning your perfect break in Scotland. There are many hotels around Royal Troon, where the event is being hosted this year, so why not book yourself in for a week and make the most of it. If you can tear yourself away from the sport there are plenty of courses in the surrounding area that should give you all the space you need for a quick game. The fact that Scotland is a stunning country with a deep and still exciting golfing culture is another big plus.

Portugal, Algarve
Another incredibly popular destination for golfing holiday makers is the Algarve. As part of Portugal's southernmost region, the Algarve is famed for its beaches and golf resorts. Though some parts of France may come close to the temperatures of Spain and Portugal during the summer, in most parts, France offers a healthy medium between chilly English weather and sweltering heat.
