Brand ambassador Tracy Higgs reviews the Short Sleeve Pique Blouson in Grape
Our Ambassador Tracy Higgs reviewed the Short Sleeve Pique Blouson in Grape recently. Here’s what she had to say about it.
What is your opinion on the fabric? Did you find the fabric comfortable whilst wearing the garment?
The fabric is lightweight and washes well and is very practical. An easy top to wear with just a slight stretch for ease of movement. It still looks neat, tidy and fresh after wearing it all day.
What do you like/dislike about the shape of the garment?
Although it is a blouson and made for lady golfers the garment is quite a unisex style and colour as there are no specific feminine details. It is quite a basic style and fit.
How versatile do you find the colour of the Blouson? Are there any other colours that you prefer to wear?
When I first received the blouson the colour reminded me of an item I had worn and washed many times and it had faded. Not too many colours can be teamed with it but I favoured white trousers, black trousers, navy shorts and denims to bring out the best of its colour. I think it would be better in a brighter shade of this colour for Spring/Summer and/or trimmed in white to bring it alive.
How did you feel about the trims used on the Blouson? (e.g. buttons, collar, self fabric hem)
The buttons complement the grape colour. The collar and self fabric hem are neat and tidy.
Do you feel that the garment can be worn for both on and off of the Golf Course? What changes would you make to the garment if you do not feel it is appropriate for either occasion?
The blouson is practical for golf if a little bit boring, probably best for Autumn/Winter in this colour. Off the course it is fine for cycling, shopping and general day to day wear. Would not wear this top of an evening as it is too basic. A few colour variations on the trim i.e. white would make it more appealing.
Please describe the garment in your own words, also any changes or suggestions that you would make.
A practical, basic golf top to play and be comfortable in. Good fit. I think this blouson would look better in a sleeveless style to be more feminine with contrasting trim, placket and buttons.
