Our Ambassador Mary Thomson reviewed the Lena Cardigan recently. Here’s what she had to say about it.
Do you like the printed pattern on this cardigan and do you like the way the pattern feels to the touch?
I, and a few of the ladies who saw me wearing it, found the pattern a bit too busy, although all of us thought the blue main colour was lovely. I neither liked nor dislike the feel of the pattern. It was simply a part of the garment.
Are there any other colours you would like to see this style in? Did you like the weight of the cardigan?
I think jade or aqua would look very good in this style and pattern. The weight was good – I expected to be a bit on the cool side for Scotland in March and was pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case.
What is your most / least favourite aspect of this cardigan? Would you have liked to have pockets in this cardigan?
My most favourite aspect would have to be the beautiful blue colour. Least favourite was the sleeve length – I found it a bit too short. I usually use my trousers pockets, as pockets in jumpers or cardigans can pull the garment out of shape when in use, so no – I would not like pockets.
We feel this garment is great for golf and leisure. Where did you wear yours? What did you wear it with?
I wore it at the first competition of the Ladies Section at my golf club, Dunblane New. I also wore it during a bounce game so that I would see – and be seen by – different ladies. My shirt was a white, open-neck polo and trousers were navy.
How did you feel after your game of golf in terms of comfort and ease of movement when wearing this garment?
It was easy to wear and comfortable, and I had no problems with moving easily.
In brief, describe this garment in your own words. Please also tell us of any changes to the garment/fit of the garment you think necessary.
This is a predominantly blue cardigan, with an all-over white sprigged design. The cuffs, hem and pearl button fastening are all edged with white. I found the sleeves just an inch or so short for me.
