Our Ambassador Yvonne Greaves reviewed the Romney Sweatshirt recently. Here’s what she had to say about it.
Do you like the cross over neck style and if so, why?
The cross over neck makes such a nice change from the usual round neck. It also makes it easier to wear a polo shirt under it. I think the neck is good as it is and I wouldn’t necessarily prefer another neck style.
Do you like the muted colour combination? Would you like to see this style in a plain colour?
The colour combination looks good I think. I very much like the blue/ivory combination of the Lexi Roll Neck and I think this sweatshirt would look lovely in those colours. I think the stripe style is nicer than a plain style.
Would you like to see any changes to the fit of the garment and what are your thoughts on the fabric e.g. weight, stretch etc.
The fit is good indeed. The garment is very comfortable to wear – nice and light, not too stretchy and is soft to the touch. It could possibly be a little heavier in weight to make it warmer for when the Winter sets in.
We think this sweatshirt is particularly good for leisure and ‘after golf’. Where did you wear yours and what did you wear it with?
I agree that this sweatshirt is ideal to slip into after golf or when returning to the club house. I wore mine with some navy trousers when I visited some friends after finishing a game of golf.
In brief, could you describe your thoughts on this sweatshirt?
A stylish, light and easy sweatshirt to wear on many different occasions. Versatile and easy to pop into a holdall to take to the golf club and it doesn't crease which is a great advantage.
